Our Motto

Omnia possum in Eo qui me confortat
“I can do all things in Him who strengthens me”

(Philippians 4:13)

The motto “I can do all things in Him who strengthens me” from Philippians 4:13 profoundly guides the Confraternity of Saint Arethas and Companions in its mission and values.

Members draw strength from their faith in Christ, empowering them in charitable works, evangelization, and spiritual growth. This commitment allows their actions to shine as reflections of God’s glory.

The motto fosters unity among members, supporting them through challenges with confidence in God’s grace and solidarity. Whether facing personal trials or communal endeavors, this sense of unity serves as a source of strength and encouragement.

Inspired by the selfless example of the Holy Martyrs, members embody service and sacrifice in their outreach to neighbors, trusting in God’s guidance. Saint Arethas’ unwavering faith in Christ enabled him to face martyrdom with courage and conviction, serving as a beacon of inspiration for the Confraternity today. Together with his Companions, he invites members to emulate their steadfast faith in the face of adversity, drawing strength from God to overcome difficulties.

Through prayer and reflection, members deepen their spiritual lives, relying on God’s strength for personal holiness and to support others. They are called to witness to Christ today, living out their faith in their daily lives through acts of kindness and spreading hope within their communities.

Members joyfully share the Gospel, confident in God’s empowerment to proclaim His love and mercy to the world. This evangelical spirit is at the heart of their mission, driving them to reach out and touch lives with the message of Christ.

For the faithful of the Arabian Peninsula, who share similar trials as the martyrs of Najran, this motto holds profound relevance. It serves as a reminder of their shared dedication to faith and mission, providing comfort amidst struggles and fostering a collective commitment to glorify God.

In essence, the motto “I can do all things in Him who strengthens me” encapsulates the Confraternity’s dedication to embodying Christ’s love and compassion, promoting unity, fostering spiritual growth, and advancing evangelization efforts. Inspired by Saint Arethas and his Companions, members of the Confraternity strive to fulfill their mission with unwavering faith, bringing God’s love to the world each day.
